			The instrumental was originally called ''bap underground'', made by City sometime during the summer of 2024. He later sent V the ''babyboy'' lyrics section because the community kept calling him so. They decided to finish the song on November 29th, 2024 for the reveal discussion stream. This was the first time V wrote a chorus in front of someone in real life. They recorded the lyrics during the same night, making changes at the last minute too. They recorded the music video the next day on November 30th, 2024. City mixed the song and V edited the video that night.
