Pool party is the summer EP of 2025, officially released on July 28th, 2025. It is the second EP by mad routine.

History
Crowdfunding
The trip for the production of visuals and the accompanying movie was crowdfunded starting at the livestream of the in a mood movie (February 16th, 2025). The goal was reached on March 8th, 2025.
Initial reveal
The EP poster, name and initial tracklist were revealed during the livestream of the trip on May 25th, 2025. 99 was initially the last song on the EP. The revised tracklist was revealed during a Veela livestream on July 11th, 2025.
Various puzzles were posted on Discord starting from July 9th leading up to the release, revealing the release date and an inverted and distorted version of the cover.
Early access release
The band's redesigned website launched on July 27th, 2025 at midnight PST with the EP available to play and purchase, cassette and CD pre-order and handmade accessories and clothing. The clothing was sourced second-hand, the block prints used were hand carved by Burtie. Most of the accessories and clothes were sold the same day. The music video for trip also became available for view and download through the website. The site also includes a hidden page titled "pirt" with a distorted and slowed version of trip and a distorted image, similar to bap 5.
During the livestream on the 27th at 9 PM PST V played pool party and talked about it, sharing details about the tracks and how they came to be. Multiple giveaways were hosted during the stream thanks to donations by community members 4exiled and Mono.
Official release
Pool party got officially released on streaming platforms the next day, on July 28th, 2025.

Trip
Trip was the first song V and City started that had the mad routine sound they were looking for. It has been completed long before the EP release.
